February 2026

If you have already sent in your tax statements, you can disregard this reminder.

Missed the Tax Statement Deadline?

If your tax statements were not filed by February 1, submit them as soon as possible. Filing now can help limit additional penalties and ensures your records are updated with the Illinois Department of Insurance.

Important: If your completed tax statements and payment were mailed by February 1 using a trackable mailing service, late fees will not apply.

Review any correspondence from the Illinois Department of Insurance and confirm your filing status. Electronic copies of tax statements are available through EFS and can be downloaded by your EFS administrator or any user with reporting access.

Forgot to Include a Policy or Endorsement?

Illinois does not impose a deadline for filing policies or endorsements. Any filings submitted after the tax deadline will appear on your mid-year tax statement.

Log in to EFS and file outstanding policies or endorsements promptly to maintain accurate records. The EFS Administrator and any EFile Users that have filing permissions/access can submit filings.

Preparing for Upcoming ADRS Requests

ADRS document requests are approaching. You are encouraged to review records now to avoid delays during the request period.

Recommended preparation includes:

  • Reviewing filing history

  • Confirming EFS access

  • Organizing supporting documentation

  • Verifying administrator permissions

Early preparation reduces response time and helps ensure complete submissions.
